A man who knows nothing about guns commented to me a while back that the "gun culture" was responsible for all the violence on the streets today.
He was very wrong, and could not have made a poorer choice if he was looking for someone to agree.
That's because I, along with millions more, am the "gun culture," and we're not gangbangers, rednecks, neo-Nazis, spree-killers, or any of the other negative stereotypes the gun-banners say we are. The criminal culture, the gang culture, the drug culture, the sociopath culture -- they engage in violence. Not us.
